ASAM Joins Sign-on Letter on Medicare Advantage

On May 29th, ASAM joined a sign-on letter from the Legal Action Center (LAC) urging the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve data collection on access to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and providers, and to use this data to continue to improve access to SUD treatment in both Medicare Advantage (MA) and traditional Medicare. The letter asks CMS to collect data on network adequacy, reimbursement rates and practices, utilization management, cost-sharing, and supplemental benefits.
