Legal Action Center Highlights Resources on the Residential Recovery for Seniors Act

The Legal Action Center has compiled resources about the Residential Recovery for Seniors Act (RRSA), newly-introduced legislation that would help provide residential addiction treatment to individuals who are older or disabled and covered by Medicare.  On the LAC webpage you can find:

1. A one-pager on the legislation and closing Medicare's coverage gap for residential substance use disorder (SUD) services, 
2. An issue brief with basic information about Medicare beneficiaries and SUD, SUD treatment, opioid overdose, and receipt of medications for opioid use disorder (OUD), basic information about Medicare's coverage of SUD services and gaps in The ASAM Criteria's four levels of care for addiction treatment, and where the RRSA fits in this picture,
